Elementary English for Life

English for Life | Malta 2017

Designed and ran elementary courses for both a corporate client and private individuals. The course covers practical/functional language, grammar, and vocabulary development.  The aim of the course was/is to very quickly take the students up to an Intermediate level in order for them to be able to progress to study for the CAE exam plus study Business English.

CAE Preparation 

CAE Preparation | Malta 2017

CAE, Cambridge English: Advanced is the Cambridge exam that students require in order to study at a foreign university. It shows employers that the individual has the language skills necessary to succeed in an international environment. This project involved the design of a bespoke CAE course, covering: Reading and use of English, Writing, Listening and speaking.

Business English

A Corporate client needed its HR director to be able to effectively communicate with its global teams over skype and telephone. Often a scary prospect when language knowledge is not at a high level. I designed a course focussing on business language and role play scenario situations. This ensured that all relevant situational language would be learned and practised. We covered all the areas outlined in the graphic.

Presentation training

Presentation training | Malta 2017​

Three Corporate executives asked me to develop a course for them to enable them to present in English. I designed a course that focussed on the language they would need during their presentations plus took them through a series of public speaking practise exercises. The course covered pronunciation and accent, messaging and delivery, and presentation techniques.

Writing

Newsletter writing | Malta 2017
​

An ongoing project to prepare a quarterly newsletter in English for a Maltese charity that runs an orphanage in Madagascar.
